Amy and Joe got married in September 2023 at the beautiful Oakwood Resort in Grand Bend. Even though I didn’t photograph the ceremony, I had the chance to capture some amazing moments right after at a small private beach near their family cottage. It turned out to be a day full of unique details and some stunning photos.

The weather was a bit overcast that day, which meant no golden sunset photos. But guess what? The dramatic clouds in the sky made the pictures look super cool! Sometimes, unexpected weather can add a special touch to wedding photos.

On the beach, we found a large piece of driftwood that became one of the best props ever. Amy and Joe posed with it, and one of the shots we got is still one of my favorite photos to this day! It just goes to show that nature can provide some of the best props for photos.

Amy had this really awesome denim jacket with "The Bride" embroidered on the back. It added such a fun and personal touch to the photos. She looked stylish and happy wearing it, and it was a great way to show off her new title!

Amy and Joe also had custom wedding bands made just for them. These rings were unique and symbolized their special bond. We made sure to capture some close-up shots of their hands and rings, which turned out beautifully.

Even though the budget only allowed for photos after the ceremony, we made the most of our time together. Amy and Joe’s wedding day was filled with love, creativity, and lots of memorable moments. The dramatic clouds, the cool jacket, the driftwood, and the custom rings all came together to make their wedding photos truly special.
